[vedi sotto per gli mp3] // L'Enfance Rouge - Krško - Valencia (15tx cd, 53'18'' - Wallace rec 'o5) - It's fourteen tracks only, to be correct, seen that #14 is 6 seconds silence, entitled (let me blow..) [translated it's almost 'Resolutive talk on social Europe between the president romano prodi and the first minister cavalier silvio Berlusconi.].. Krško Valencia has got a renewed phisical impact in comparison to François Cambuzat & Co's previous works. It stays the same scenic storyteller effect into an experimental post-rock raw (listen to the gypsy prose of Davos Bei Nacht and Gaio E Giallo), but, more, Cambuzat's role watches better to the melodical hooks that music offers him. - It doesn't feel anymore as Their sound was a simple framing of stop&go's and fractures of genre for political masochism, but all has turned into a trasversal room/suite, warmer and cosy. Then, a couple of songs restored under this alternative point of view, and new oxygen through pieces like Iparalde, as well as explosive melancholy of Pantocrator. Particular note for Chapelle du Sauvage, nocturnal arpeggio leaden by bassist Chiara Locardi's voice, in an exquisite french taste, soft and lovable (together with Cambuzat, in a demential vent on the last track), - a false patriotic chant, brothers of catastrophe on Caracas, Lusaka, Berlin, - and jazz smokes of Noir Orange, - brief instrumental interlude, enriched thanks to a quiet trumpet solo and piano raindrops. - On balance, i think this Krško - Valencia is well done, - it's singular but not unique/new, it's intimate but not exactly accesible, - although, the stench of policy, - whatever it is an attack or a social criticism, - it doesn't help me to fall in love.

[see below for mp3] // Rosolina Mar - Before and After Dinner (12tx cd, 37'58'' - Wallace & Robotradio rec 'o5) - One year after previous s/t full-lenght [read past komareview], italian Rosolina Mar are back with a more decisive step into 7o's electricity. - Notwistanding the same past passion for half-demential titles; They dive into wha-wha driven suites, almost embracing acid jazz in some hot pursuits à la Harry Callahan, even if it stays still after behind the corner the warm splendour of funky mono. - Regarding, listen to Isa Eyes, unique track with two words vocals, - or short and intense Tuttopapetti e Protopapetti. Then, while the title-track as well as Car Patch (D-tone) turn on the free-jazz side of two guitars & drums ensemble, Flesh Dance brush by the fusion music school, putting aside melancholy, but focusing on excitement of the rythm section changes.

I got my interview with The Misteriosos.. - In case You didn't read yet about the Band on these komapages (blame on You!), well, - The Misteriosos is a special jewel renewing the fuzzy underground motif of 6o's, sharing Their Love for psych garage genre swinging between hypnotic lysergical trips and fast dirty rock&roll immediacy. - well, read more here.. // Oh, chebbello. 18-Nov-2005 10:30 AM - My Way My Love.
My Way My Love, Rome, 16th nov @ Locanda Atlantide, 5€. [trad. ita qui] - From Japan with Noise, Yukio Murata, Takeshi Owaki, and Dai Hiroe were in Rome past night. If You are an habitué to these komapages, You are not new to My Way My Love's droning guitar-driven Music (read komareviews here, and here, + interview), to Their brilliant up-beat nervous schizophrenia and obsession for loops and distortion, touching poles as Sonic Youth and Enon. Before Their show, three local bands has opened: Dispositivo per il Lancio Obliquo di una Sferetta, KBN and Buzzer P.. Oh my godz, - must say!, pure mediocrity? maybe only KBN had something good to play, even if nothing new or charming; moreover, local (so-called) sound engeneer was probably deaf after years and years of deep purple, seen my ears were kind of bleeding because of intolerable amps volumes, and You couldn't even try to talk someone without screaming and screaming and SCREAMING - that frustrating. Dispositivo per il [..] played a 'thing' oriented to guitar chaos with demential spoken word (they invited My Way My Love to join them on stage for the last song, but it's been brief and sad), and Buzzer P., well, i cannot think of them seriously.. - ok, this is just a matter of taste, ok? - Btw, i couldnt enjoy the 'music', and i went and talking with Yukio, a very very nice guy, with a big gentle smile, but OF COURSE we couldn't hear us all that well, if not with some big difficulties, if not by repeating over and over what we both were trying to say.. and after first greetings he told me something like 'sorry, you must be patient, there are 3 bands before us' - omg, it was 11,3o pm, i must wake up at 7 am.. in the meanwhile Takeshi, bleach blonde head drummer, were sleeping on a sofa (i can't see how, seen the music mayem), and bassist Dai was at the merchandise bank selling tee shirts (- i'm sorry there wasn't a small sized one for me, dude!), bags and cds. - Around midnight, finally, it was japanoisers' time. The stage presence suddenly has changed, You could feel there was higher than before - and this is not xenophiliac, but pure good sense.. sorry.. Yukio introduces the Band after some problems he had with cables, and then there's the first explosion, satured of distorted bass, guitar, and beaten hard drumming, - intro for Ovo. At best on Reykjavik 69, Sports, and drifting Captain with Dai and Takeshi backing vocals, - speeden up version, to conclude about 30 min show. I'm sorry it didn't last all that much, but i enjoyed indeed. I couldn't miss the gig.

08-Nov-2005 1:51 PM - The Brunettes: frankly i didn't know anything about this boy/girl 6o's style Band from New Zealand, now recently under Subpop rec. Coy, cute, cutie-pie, hoochie-pie, coochie-woo, woochie-candy-poo. The Ronettes are not far, Music is on the wave of twee-pop. It's funny that if You are into a kind of Music genre, Your name it is too.. - btw, here You find Their whole discography in streaming and more.
07-Nov-2005 5:33 PM - The Misteriosos - s/t (12tx cd, 59'21'' - self prod. 'o5) - This album is special: You can even feel it from ever first rolling drums of the opening track Now. Obsessive pysch(o)-garage Music, strong of fuzzed out rancid guitars, 60's organ serpentines, rich percussions. - The Misteriosos combo threesome is from Boston, and sounds something similar between the Fuzztones melted with the Demolition Doll Rods and early My Bloody Valentine line-up (like on She Said, perfect symbiosis of male/female voices joining fast rock&roll escapes and psychedelic suites). No false steps, all tracks work fine bringing Band's taste for indie lo-fi genre at its top, - genuine, vivid fresh green. And while here The Misteriosos' rebellious wild side seems to be left to JellyRolly's voice, - catchy, distinct and passionate, - it's Tula Storm's lifeless and hypnotic vocals to guide the listener through lisergical trips of Any Wonder, 7 Years and alchemies of The Sun - this one, possible missing track from A Clockwork Orange the film, with its mesmeric Moog explosion. Titles as Time of Day and Hey Hey Hollie Lollie are pure kicking ass hits; - The Stars that Play with Laughing Sam's Dice has been kidnapped by some misteriosos thieves at some freak under drugs over 40 yrs ago.. [see below for mp3's] // The Misteriosos - s/t (12tx cd, 59'21'' - self prod. Titoli come Time Of Day e Hey Hey Hollie Lollie sono puri hit da bottino ricco; The Stars that Play with Laughing Sam's Dice invece è una canzone rubata da misteriosi ignoti a qualche freakkettone sotto stupefacenti oltre 4o anni fa..

07-Nov-2005 10:42 AM - Robin Guthrie & Harold Budd - Music from the film Mysterious Skin (15tx cd, 45'oo'' - Commotion rec 'o4). Listening this soundtrack album is like having a silent trip through the clouds. - Your astral body flying, - You can see, below, early daylight rays reflecting and sparkling through the fog of a post rainy night, the brighten green grass of a hill, that humid sense and colour of the living Nature, - the first shy steps of a great new day sunshining. Maybe You already know and crossed into early shoegazing movements of The Moon & The Melodies (1986), - special ambient album featuring Cocteau Twins threesome and creative Harold Budd. - This time it's a two-some, that sees Guthrie and Budd to draw on-air multilayered guitar-scapes prospectives and low-mood percussions, for Gregg Araki's discussed film Mysterious Skin. - Atmoshperes are touching, holy and innocent, amniotic, - full of standing cascading sounds, - building a blissful palace 45'' minutes tall.. - Note: the movie picture featured also early Slowdive's song Golden Hair (originally by Syd Barrett - download here), - not a novelty, considering Araki's love for this dreampop Icon, often sound scoring his novels. Btw, it's not found on the CD, that be might considered as Guthrie & Budd's a one-chapter only side project.. right?

06-Nov-2005 1:13 PM - Bent Haimer directed Factotum, out in early 2oo6, based on the s/t novel by Charles Bukowski, and it's Matt Dillon to play Henry Chinaski's role.. pretty curious to watch the movie, even because i still remember of a great Dillon in Drugstore Cowboy (and that's it..).. and even if i haven't seen previous èprouve Bar Fly (1987), i read Bukowski's half-disappoint in one or two of his diaries/books about making a movie from a book.. and what's funny and common with these two films? "Some people never go crazy. What truly horrible lives they must lead" - has been used as tagline for both.. oohh.. original.. - btw, here You find the trailer.
