Okay, I bought my Boss DS-1 in the 90s, I had no clue this was part of Kurt Cobain's iconic guitar rig. Early days talking. I bought it so far because.. it was cheap! And solid. Then, after I discovered My Bloody Valentine, I trashed mine, I apologized to my Jazzmaster, and I stopped using any fuzz or distortion pedal for years. So, only in my 40s, I understand today I was using it wrong.
Cobain's DS-1 pedal used on 1991 Peel Sessions got sold on auction for $75k, not bad (ps that session featured my favorite version of Endless, Nameless so far).

For sure, it did better than that red taped DS-1 used on Club Babyhead gig in Providence, Rhode Island, on September 25, 1991, $9k only.

And some try to sell 1986 japanese version for over 280 bucks. That stupid, but, be my guest.. should I sell mine as well?
On the contrary, I might point some money on Frankestein modded versions like this one.

So, I was doing it wrong, some say. Of course DS-1 is not a magic wand. Anyway:
