Fantastico.

Great choice, d'essai i'd say, by italian Musique à la Coque rec, re-releasing this british gem coming out from the past, - year 1983 -, opus by Bass Tone Trap. - Contemporaries of first NY no-wave's grunts (Sanctified, Sleep Lights, structure and sung, together with the alchoolic saloon-like frenzy of AAK), the ensemble runs into most punk jazz aspects (Stay There and the tenor sax virtuosity of Safe in the Inner Core), in full form and eclecticism crisis (winds' coquettish talks in The complex aesthetic of John Jasnoch), between free improv (the excellent bass solo of Afraid of Paper), ambient (Magnetic north / south), and shadows of 7o's funk Music (more conventional airs of Intruder in the Dust as well as Africa Calling). All of inventions are bright creative and technically unexceptionable, groovy and crazy, - kind of a noir avant-garde exuberances magnum opus, even more worthy a buy considering the three bonus tracks (whose the last is an odd review from a radio slot made by two girls) here featured. Fantastic.
