Captain Polaroid's
new album only suffers limits due to the bedroom-made quality of His
recordings: said that, this young one-man band from uk is on the line
of The Fall, Jim Reid and Bright Eyes, - that means brilliant lo-fi pop (When The Calendar Comes Down), fuzzy noise (A Dream Is A Dream Is A Dream Is A Lie) sometimes turning into a short alternative country parenthesis (Wintertime Ending).
Scratchy guitars, no amplifier (so i guess), directly plugged in line,
- drum machine, lyrics about personal thoughts and broken heart, total
tunefulness, - and it ends that Captain Polaroid's
harmonies reveal a punky-pop feeling that keeps the whole album's
appeal always bright. - Now, i'd be curious to hear what He can do with

Secondo album per Captain Polaroid, - soffre unicamente dei limiti dovuti alla qualità delle registrazione da made in cameretta: detto ciò, questo giovane one-man band dagli uk è sulla linea di The Fall, Jim Reid e Bright Eyes, - il che significa del brillante lo-fi pop (When The Calendar Comes Down), fuzzy noise (A Dream Is A Dream Is A Dream Is A Lie) che a volte piega in qlc breve parentesi alternative country (Wintertime Ending). Chitarre taglienti, senza amplificazione (come suppongo), direttamente pluggate in linea, drum machine, testi di personali considerazioni e cuore spezzato, totale melodicità (?), - e finisce che le armonie di Captain Polaroid rivelano un sentimento punky-pop che tiene sempre alto l'appeal dell'intero album. - Ora, sarei curioso di sentire cosa potrebbe tirare fuori con una 'produzione ufficiale'..
