Un bel kontrabass
suona forte e grave per tutto il disco, accompagnando arpeggi di chitarra
jangle, batteria e una voce navigata. Il Gruppo, tedesco di Freiburg,
attivo dal '99 alterna strumentali cari alla costa e clima di San
Diego (Maldivion, va a ser un nuevo dia) a pezzi cantati
col bicchiere della sbornia in mano e sigaretta. Atmosfere sinistre
(Black Pool), carezze da strip-tease bar, è come immaginare
l'amplesso di Tuxedomoon con Poison
Ivy.. (Rock'n roll resurrection). Disco godibile, con
qualche breve passo falso di inerzia, - ma per il resto funziona.

live, anche da ballare.
