The story: "a 15-second commercial on French television during which Dali rolled his eyes roguishly and said, ‘I am mad, I am completely mad - over Lanvin chocolates.' He was paid $10,000."
It was 1968, - formerly, in 1939 french writer/poet André Breton dubbed Salvador Dalí with the anagrammatic nickname 'Avida Dollars' [> everything2]: He also made another couple of adverts for Alka Seltzer and VeteRano wine [above vid] and Braniff Airlines and for a hotel chain.
