Quasiviri, two Italians and a Canadian, based in Milano, three guys from the not-so-invisible local undeground scene: Roberto Rizzo (R.U.N.I.), Chet Martino (Pin Pin SugarRonin) and André Arraiz-Rivas (Satan Is My Brother).
I believe that the real monster is not that thing drawned for the artwork, but, the eight string bass played by Chet Martino.
Then, think a mesh up of Joy Division, progressive-driven keys, and, math-rock percussions. No guitar.
Yeah, it is a sort of Crown Crust Burger pizza, something you would be ashamed of, albeit, at the end, you eat it.
The craziness of the synth serpentines of Bad Games and No More Problems, propelled with the phlegmatic harshness of vocals create a special epicness, and here and there they may match with some (of many schizoid) prospectives of Mr Bungle, although with no hints of dementia and sudden mutations (currently detected), and - lucky us - far from being that unlistenable. Yet, they are that talented. And I guess, there is no over recording here.
Once written this banal obviousness for coordinate, their EP starts with the new-wave adrenaline of the album's title track Freak of Nature and it ends with drums' fireworks.
Something to be played loud.
