Rome duo Snow In Mexico signed for Texas-based Saint Marie rec some time ago, and only recently, they finally released four new stunning tracks, which give new oxygen to their Music production, since their latest self-release in 2012, Prodigal Summer, which seems it is also going to be reissued by SM rec as well.
Powered by two daydreaming videos, think of New Order vs M83, sedated and digitally celestial, where the magic connection is lined over some ecstatic electro-shoegaze vibe, synthpop tinted.
Slow-paced, sometimes even danceable (Juno Beach, Sunshine), their addiction to the delicacy of sounds is fully admirable and enjoyable, warm and sometimes even moving (Gentle Rain). Gorgeous and evocative songwriting.
Andrea Novelli (synths, programming) and Massimiliano Cruciani (vocals, guitars, keys) are two friends of mine. If it sucked I'd tell you. BUT IT ROCKS!
Watch the vids, and stream the whole record below.
Then, cover them with gold here.
