- dragging sedated percussions, down-tuned guitars sometimes turning
fuzzy and distorted, - and mite warm mournful male vocals on the
southern soul coordinates of 16 Horsepower, early Neil Young or Palace's blues (actually, singer/gtrst Dave Heumann has performed with Will Oldham's Bonnie Prince Billy). Rites Of Uncovering's strenght is impressive as the release was already an old classic. - Call it folk rock (Tonight's Jeweli), alt-country Music (hypnotic Sleep Of Shiloam), - abeilt there's even more, - listen to the psychedelic long guitar solo digression of The Rise,
- nearly hard-rock, - a crazy lysergic time-travel trip into 7o's, a
threefolded room bumping from an intimate quasi religious chant into a
drugged hangover and viceversa. Music for lonesome whiskered people, -
just kidding, - the Rites Of Uncovering are also to be meant as rites to touch ecstasy (cf. the mesmerizing opening track Signposts And Instruments), through folk-centric triumphs.

Rites Of Uncovering ha una forza impressionante che quasi lo fa passare come fosse già un classico. - Chiamatelo folk rock (Tonight's Jeweli), alt-country Music (l'ipnotica Sleep Of Shiloam), - ma c'è anche di più, - basta ascoltare lo psichedelico lungo assolo di chitarra di The Rise, - digressivo, quasi hard-rock, un pazzo trip viaggio nel tempo, negli anni 7o, - una stanza a tre vani che Vi fa saltare da un'intima intonazione quasi religiosa ad una sbornia drogta e viceversa. - Musica per tristi barbuti, - scherzo, - i Rites Of Uncovering sono anche da essere intesi come riti per toccare l'estasi (cfr. la mesmerica prima traccia Signposts And Instruments), attraverso trionfi folk-centrici. - Ps.
