Recorded in Germany in the 1970-1973, and originally shared mainly with family and friends, this little piece of gold has been brought to the CD format by Orange Twin five years ago, thanks to the attention of Baier's son, Robby.
Pure folk delicacy, like a nocturne, Sibylle Baier and her guitar, gentle riffs, a disarming voice, sincere vehicle of diaphanous intimacy.
Something able to survive more than 30 years. You judge.
Remember the Day is pure poetry, with a sudden crescendo in the middle of all those 'remember..'.
Pure - again - sober nostalgia: Softly a sensitive lullaby, The End is distinctive like that d She pronunces in the End, - her subtle hmmm-ing in Forget About makes you.. exactly as She sings, "[..] and all of a sudden I feel proud for being without saying a word [..]"..
Says Elliott - "sadness is beautiful", - Girl is a tearing-apart song about Italy ("where did you stay so long.. [..] I'll show you where the lilies grow.. at the banks.. of Italy..").. Fragility is the key, even in an allegro such as Wim.
And last but not least, - the albums ends with Give me a smile.. truly a swan song, - the only one from the tracklist featuring an orchestral accompaniment, - one last, symphonic short view (1'54 sec) of heaven. What a elegance it is.
Btw, believe, this record is hard to describe in its simple beauty.. don't miss it. Peaceful stillness. Balsam for the soul. That's it.
If You already fan of Josephine Foster, Claudine Longet, Annelies Monseré, Leah Hayes, - You have one more reason to fall in love.

not yet, probably nobody cares, or nobody cared enough to tell something. Also: nobody reads komakino.
