Voi lo sapevate? - Mi sono sempre chiesto se in quel periodo quaggiù vi fosse stata vita, -> Musica, - mi sono sempre chiesto quali creature fossero vissute e miracolate e scomparse nell'underground di quei tempi, - se v'era, - se tra quei pochi che ascoltavano i Gruppi dell'onda post-punk provenienti oltre-manica, oltre-oceano, Qualcuno avesse reagito e pensato di tirare sù un Gruppo. Ed ecco i Tasaday, Io lo so da qlc gg, avendo la Wallace rec ristampato in 5oo copie + rimasterizzato quel grand Loro disco che è stato Aprirsi nel Silenzio nel 1984 (uscito allora per l'ADN rec). Se Li avessi ascoltati casualmente trasmessi da qlc radio (di buon gusto) avrei pensato fossero i Death In June, o magari i Clock DVA, o magari i Tuxedomoon: nevrosi artistica, art-wave, new wave intellettuale_rabbiosa, percussioni a sfondo ipnagogico, atmosfere da cielo livido e autunno. A parte i titoli, ed alcuni versi trascritti in italiano/tedesco, il resto è tutto in inglese o in reverse. Ottimi. // Once upon a time in the 8o's there were the Tasaday, damn. Did You know that? - I always wondered if downhere in that period there had been life, -> Music, - i've always asked my-self what creatures had lived and vanished into underground scene so far, - if there was a scene, - if between few people (i guess that if there are few people now here loving alternative Music, i'm nearly sure before there was less) listening post-punk new-wave Bands coming from UK and USA, some of Them ever decided to do a Band. And here we are the Tasaday - Wallace rec reprinted in 5oo copies Their cd released in 1984 by ADN rec, entitled Aprirsi nel Silenzio [Do Bloom In The Silence]. If i had heard a song of Them at the radio, i'd think of Death In June, or Clock DVA, or else of Tuxedomoon: artistic nevrosis, art-wave, new-wave, intellectual-angry, percussions with ipnogogical soundscapes, blue-black autumn sky. Notwistanding titles and lyrics are written in italian, They sing (male vcls) in english. Excellent.

Mascis, spirito sonico, malinconia da losers, io direi anche qlcs dei Cure di Wish nelle sonorità ma non vorrei farli passare per quello che non sono, - visto che ci sento anche dell'indie power pop stile americano. Very good, sul sito ci sono degli mp3. // It's time for Popface, Calling Back/Falling Back, 5 trx, - whose one from the forthcoming new album, due next fall, released by Trust Me rec. From Norway, some J. Mascis influence, sonic spirit, spleen à la looser, - i'd call also some Cure-ish (of Wish) attitude - but don't misunderstand, They're not on the dark-wave, - i'd state somewhat on a indie power pop line. Oxbow meet White Tornado, ovvero uno split cd con due e tre canzoni a testa e l'artwork cartoncino da 1oopt di Mirko Spino, -> i WT vicini talvolta a Jesus Lizard, ruvidi, acidi e sporchi, molto interessanti i tipi, - gli Oxbow [già-Swell, Whipping Boy] vicini a? Chitarre buzzzzing, o sweet giri di chitarra con sfondo da incubo di distorsione (Pannonica). Bella uscita. 2. - L'altro cd è Tracce Compilation, campionario di 13 Band in aurea indie-noiz, - finalmente mi ascolto gli One Dimensional Man, con Alalamina, e 'azzarola, spaccano, bella pure la voce; altri episodi interessanti: Cleft - belle le cariche che tirano sù -, Jinx - li avevo letti a volte in giro con gli Unsane, e se li erano scelti bene -, Keen Toy - sull'onda post-Albini. // Last cd's i got for a review on next komakino (out on december), two releases by italian indie label Wallace rec: 1. Oxbow meet White Tornado, that is a cd with two and three songs per Band, and a very cool art-work in cardboard by Mirko Spino, -> WT sometimes closed to Jesus Lizard, rough, acid and dirty, - very interesting fellows, - while Oxbow [members coming from Swell, Whipping Boy..] are closed to..?? hm? E' il caso dei Potomac Accord, st. louis, missouri, usa, - primo cd autoprodotto, Silver Line on a Black Sea, ottima band di umori autunnali, bs/piano/batteria e voce (sporadico uso di gtr), aria di tempesta, malinconia grigia, tra la title trk the chief assassin to the sinister dei Three Mile Pilot e Godspeed You Black Emperor!, - dalla quiete alla tempesta. Eccellente debutto. // Well, new policy for the stuff that Bands send me, because between each komakino's issue it needs about 3/4 months, then, when and if i get something good in my mail_box, it's right i wrote at least some brief lines here on the news_olds.
