What a luck. Randomly checking the net if there was any interesting indie gig to see in Sydney, during my visit there, with my great surprise i found the news saying The Gossip and Pretty Girls Make Graves were going to perform live in town just a couple of days later. And when i went to a redeye records store to book a couple of tickets, the guy at the cash told me that The Gossip were going to play a short showcase right there in the record shop at 3.3o pm, for free, to present Their special australian tour ep. GREAT!
Well, You can see some of snapshots me and my sweet half took, - unfortunately the camera's memory card was full, so we filmed only an excerpt of 
Standing in the Way Of Control (*.mov, 2omb).
The Gossip's performance has been totally in the name of fun and garage/soul clash wilderness, with dirty bluesy guitar sounds (Brace Paine is a songwriting genius), groovy punk riffs, disco drumming set, and with Beth Ditto, star, special creature feeded up with bread, Janis Joplin and Aretha Franklin for breakfast, an amazing voice full of desperation, rage and warm intensity. While their rummer Hannnah Billie and Brace were totally mute, Bett was ften joking with the kids about how She soon found herself in a total sweat (see pics..), dressing a giant shredded Pretty Girls Make Graves tshirt.. - well, more pics (and videos, don't worry) about the following night show coming soon..
