età media 19 anni, un batterista che scarica adrenalina in rullate imponenti,
a rendere + efficace la costruzione apparentemente scarna del noise sciorinato
a fiumi in 4 pezzi. Mini ep, edizione limitata a 2oo copie, 199 tolta la mia,
- disponibile solo tramite il mailorder dell'etichetta, - formula power trio,
il bassista anche alla voce e alla chitarra l'onere dell'acidità su distorsione.
Vicini ad un altro Gruppo della Psychotica,
i Logan
(anche intervistati su komakino), anche i Beirut
cercano una propria espressione/dimensione su rotte indicate da Fugazi,
Shellac,
Corm,
ma senza soluzioni tortuose. Bella Pale Sun, che sfiora il sentimento
tragico nella conclusione, e l'openingtrk Cold, che ben Li presenta
e cattura l'ascolto.

Their sound is closed to another Band from Psychotica, i Logan (see past koma reviews), Beirut are looking their own way of being too, learnt lessons from Fugazi, Shellac, Corm, without being sofisticated. Pale Sun, beautiful go, touches a tragic feeling in its second half, and the opening track Cold well introduces Their passion and energy, asking for Your attention until last riff.
