Slow paced alt-folk music, pop toned, with warm female vocals - sexiness, courtesy of Romina Kalsi -, this three piece from Lugano, Switzerland blends charming softness and quietness through their melodies.
Cycles of gentle guitar riffs, keys, minimal percussions, that kind of magic of music lullabies which happen with glockenspiel.
Distance Without is kind of suspended in the air, a soulful track indeed, sort of prayer, I think Neil Halstead would like something like this, while Plans goes smoothly on a more soul pop ground.
Beautiful, dreamy harmonies, Run Away well represents their way of being moody and seductive while, I think, their potential three hit singles are hidden in the end of the tracklist: Sandstorm, powered by a poignant refrain, Shooting Frames, with a fully emotional dream pop blooming, and Beautiful, which seems to me to be ready for a commercial. No doubt, the icing on the cake is Kalsi's vocals play, always dramatic and bittersweet.
A sincerely enjoyable record. Did I mention this is a debut disc?

not yet, probably nobody cares, or nobody cared enough to tell something. Also: nobody reads komakino.
