Andrea Giommi
Saffron Dawn Europe - A-B-normal #2
(1tx k7, 12'25'' - Kaspar House rec 2015)

Urban mysticism and free-jazz vibe, weaved into a tapestry of bitterness and self-isolationism: these are the keys of latest Andrea Giommi's piece of Music, helped out by his long-time friend and drummer Alessandro Gobbi (with him in The Emerald Leaves) and Matjaž Mlakar (from Jazoo). Now home-based in London, UK, a release on compact cassette, limited to 50 copies, commissioned by Kaspar House indie record, for their A-B-normal serie. An array of dramatic, yet, cohesive loose songwriting: slowly percussive, electric guitar and piano, kazoo, saxophone, a bad, dry cough too.. these 12 minutes track quietly marks the swirls of a meditative, obsessive inner sight through sound. And as you start thinking the ship is taking an abstract trip/form in the open sea of the free-improvisation of psychedelic music, the sax' leitmotiv promptly gets the oars back in the boat. It makes you want to play it again and again. Headphones and low-lights recommended.

not yet, probably nobody cares, or nobody cared enough to tell something. Also: nobody reads komakino.
