A flaming performance of Melvins and David Yow of Smells Like Teen Spirit.
I did not know this ever happened until I heard about it on KEXP podcast The Cobain 50, where radio hosts Dusty Henry and Martin Douglas speak of Scratch Acid (here the T&G rec dedicated page) and Jesus Lizard, in this episode, as some of those bands who shaped Nirvana's sound somehow. They also tell how Yow was initially supposed to be part of the RNR Hall of Fame 2014 reunion, but then Grohl pissed Yow off for Paul McCartney & Co.
The Melvins also released their version of Smells Like Teen Spirit the very same year 2000 (The Crybaby).. frankly, not good as the above performance with Yow. Pretty boring/normal, must say.
